Flyers win! Flyers win! Overtime victory in game 7!

It was meant to be. The Flyers where badly outplayed for most of the game and somehow the Capitals didn’t score after it was tied up 2-2. It seemed like they had so many great opportunities but the choke was in!Once again Flyers goalie Biron was the real hero. I have to admit I was not a big Biron fan all year but he proved he could step it up when it counts.

The referees put the whistles away in the third, so when the penalty was finally deservingly called in overtime you had to have a feeling it was their time. It was one of the most physical series I can recall and the Flyers proved they can hit with anyone.

Hopefully everyone will be ready to go on Thursday against Montreal. They played each other fairly even this season so expect another great series. I’m not sure if my heart can take it, but bring it on!

GO FLYERS!

  1. While the Flyers were outplayed for the majority of the game, Biron most definitely held down the fort. After making several key saves down the stretch, the refs finally made a penalty call, giving the Flyers a chance to end it.

The two teams were very evenly matched, and you really couldn’t have asked for a more entertaining series. Next up is the Canadiens, who will present problems both offensively and defensively for the Flyers. Still, today is a day to rejoice, as the Flyers pulled off a huge win.
