Sixers take game 3 of Detroit series with big time Defense
After being dominated in all aspects of game two the Sixers came out in game three and did some dominating of their own.A 95-75 win on Friday night was as big a turn around as I can remember. It was a total team effort centering around Samuel Dalembert played the game of his life scoring 22 points, 16 rebounds and 2 blocks. Just as important was the way he shut down Detroit’s big men and kept them from scoring in the paint.
After game two I mentioned the Sixers needed to change up their defense to keep the Pistons of the boards and from getting easy baskets in the paint and they did exactly that. Coach Cheeks made the right moves that helped Detroit miss 17 shots in a row in the second half.
Iguodala needs to get his game going if the Sixers want to keep winning. He has been shooting awful and for the most part just playing badly. He had 6 turnovers last night and has been no factor so far in the series.
