Phillies pull out big win in the 10th thanks to Burrell’s home run
The Giants took the lead in the 10th after former Phillie Aaron Rowand went deep in the top of the 10th, but Pat Burrell came up big with a two out two run homer in the bottom of the 10th to give the Phil’s the win.The Philles took at 4-1 lead after Chase Utley and Pedro Feliz both hit two-run homers. But the Bullpen was not able to hold the lead and let the Giants tie up the game.
In the top of the 10th Rowand hit a homer to give the Giants a 5-4 lead. Burrell was the Phil’s last hope. He was being thrown fastball after fastball from Brian Wilson the Giants closer. Wilson had a great fastball clocking in at around 97-98 MPH. But you can’t keep throwing the same pitch to someone as hot as Burrell. He turned it around and blasted the 3-2 pitch deep to left for a big victory.
