Phillies come back to take game 3 against Arizona
It was a crazy game which included a hard collision at first base between Shane Victorino and the Diamondbacks first baseman Conor Jackson, but the Phillies pulled out a late 5-4 victory.Trailing in the eighth, the Phillies tied it on an Eric Bruntlett RBI double and took the lead on Chase Utley’s RBI single. Right-hander Kyle Kendrick kept the Phillies in the game for 6 innings even if he did allow 10 hits.
Tom Gordan pitched a solid 8th only giving up one hit. Brad Lidge, who hasn’t allowed an earned run this season, pitched a perfect ninth for his seventh save in as many chances.
