Burrell’s pinch hit homer gives Phillies 7-5 win over Astros

Pat Burrell was called in to pinch hit for the first time this season and boy did he come through. He hit a giant homer in the eighth inning to lift the Phillies to a 7-5 victory.Howard led the way with 3 more hits including another monster home run and finally got his average up to 207. Chase Utley knocked in a big insurance run late in the game and then closer Lidge continued to be perfect 12 for 12 closing out the game.

The Phillies did blow a 5-2 lead but the bullpen did another great job to hold off the Astros and take the first game of the series.
