Philly scores early and wins 7-4 over Rockies

Kyle Kendrick pitched a solid 7 1/3 innings to lead the Phillies to a 7-4 victory over the Rockies. The Phillies have gone 7-1 in Kendrick’s past eight starts. The Phillies moved a season-high six games above .500 and appear to have all the batters swinging they way they had hoped. This is a team built to score runs and that is what they are doing now.

The Phillies fell two runs short of their modern franchise record way back in 1900. It seemed like the record was going to be broken when they scored 7 early runs but they failed just short.

Dobbs and Feliz both knocked in 2 runs to lead the Phil’s offensively.
