Philly gets big break in 9th then pulls out a win 4-3 over the Braves

It ended up being one of the most exciting games of the year with an incredible victory over the Braves 4-3 in the 10th inning.With 2 outs in the 9th inning catcher Coste hit a routine pop up but it was dropped! It alowed the tying run to come in and let the game go into extra innings.

Shane Victorino tripled and scored the Phillies first run. Then in the 10th he hits another triple to knock in the go ahead run.

Now the Phillies bring in their closer Lidge who has been lights out all year. He gets in trouble which we haven’t seen all year. A line drive to center field looked like it would tie the game up and blow Lidge’s first save of the year but Victorino gunned down the potential tying run at home plate with a strike from center field to end the game.
