How about them Flyers!!!!! It's hard to believe the series that Biron and Umberger had. They diffidently lead the Flyers to victory but it was a total team effort.

With all the young good players we have I feel we are going to be good for a long time, as long as the goal tending stays solid.
The biggest problem will be signing everyone next year but hopefully they can figure a away to sign most of them.

Back to this year, it will be another great series, probably with the Penguins. Two great. quick, young teams. WOW, will my heart be able to take it?
GO FLYERS!!!!!!!

While I can understand the goal being counted, as it was really difficult to tell, the penalty was simply a horrible call. As a referee, if there is only one minute left in the game, you must be 100% sure that you are making the correct call. If you're not, you simply don't make the call.

The Flyers played an overall solid game, but can improve in every area of their game. It looks as though it won't be a blowout like many people, including myself, had thought.

I have been very happy with their pitching so far and I think just about everyone feels the same way.
A big key is Howard getting on track. It is only a matter of time before that happens.

I think he is thinking way to much at the plate and that will mess you up every time. He is swinging at bad pitches then taking a strike right down the middle.

Uncle Charlie's strong point, supposedly, is batting. So hopefully he will get Howard right is his head again and then look out National League East!

I know it's impossible for Utley and Burrell to keep up their pace, but if they have good years and the pitches stays solid we WILL have a championship this year!!!!!!

And by the way how about Tom Gorden coming big time! Yea baby!

A very great comeback by the Phils at the end. That hit by Burrell kept my hitting streak alive over at MLB.com.

While the Flyers were outplayed for the majority of the game, Biron most definitely held down the fort. After making several key saves down the stretch, the refs finally made a penalty call, giving the Flyers a chance to end it.

The two teams were very evenly matched, and you really couldn't have asked for a more entertaining series. Next up is the Canadiens, who will present problems both offensively and defensively for the Flyers. Still, today is a day to rejoice, as the Flyers pulled off a huge win.

I could not agree more with you regarding the use of Rollins. Ankle sprains can be nagging injuries which only heal with rest. I would have simply rested him for a few days, and if there was little progress, send him to the DL.

Using him as a pinch-hitter only a few times was simply a waste of time, and it may have slowed down his recovery. I'm not really sure Charlie will learn much from the experience, but at least we can hope.

That being said, how can you not love Uncle Charlie?

After missing about 10 layups in the first half, at least it seemed to be that many, you figured the youth was showing.
But when Evans makes 2 free throws, then a 17 foot turn around jumper, I knew the gods where on our side! He can't make 70 percent of wide open layups! I love him but dude learn how to shoot a 10 footer, please.
No one gave them a chance but I believe youth can win out in this case. They have come on so much the second half of the year with the young guys, so why stop now!
You gotta believe!!!! Remember Philly fans!!
